Applies to: Merchants using the Uber Eats ordering platform.
Late Uber Eats orders are likely due to the Fast Order Release (FOR) feature in the Uber Eats delivery system.
When Fast Order Release is enabled, Uber Eats dispatches the driver as soon as the order is accepted, rather than waiting for the order fulfillment or prep and ready time. This means the driver may arrive at the restaurant before the order is ready.
To enable, disable, or adjust the Fast Order Release setting, changes need to be made on the Uber Eats backend or with the assistance of Uber Eats support.
Also known as: Uber Eats late, Uber order arrived late, driver arrived before food ready, Fast Order Release, FOR, Uber driver too early, Uber Eats timing issue, Uber order delay, when does Uber dispatch driver, Uber Eats prep time problem.
