An "Order Attention Required" item is used to inform the restaurant of an order that Checkmate was not able to send correctly into the POS. This is rare but happens occasionally when an item or modifier is not mapped correctly between the ordering platform menu and the POS.
When an order cannot be processed correctly, the restaurant is notified in one of two ways:
- The first is a notification ticket. If configured, a notification ticket is sent to the kitchen with the message "Order Attention Required," along with the delivery service, order number, customer name, and order details. This order will have a $0 value in the POS and requires manual entry. The order has already been paid for by the customer on the ordering platform, and the $0 item is used only to notify the restaurant of the order.
- The second is a notification email. If a notification ticket cannot be sent, a notification email is sent instead with details about the ordering platform, order number, the item or modifier that caused the error, and instructions on how to resolve the issue for future orders.
To program the "Order Attention Required" item in the POS, contact Checkmate Support for setup.
