Customers may occasionally miss an item, select the wrong date or store, or use the wrong payment card. Direct Ordering allows restaurants to edit an existing order on the customer's behalf, which avoids canceling the order and having the customer start over.
Note: Only orders with a Pending, Held, or Open status can be edited. An order that is Closed or Voided cannot be edited.

Follow the steps below to edit an order.
Note: Editing an order re-authorizes the customer's payment method for the new total, so the restaurant can capture the additional amount on the day the order is charged. Once the edited order is submitted, the customer automatically receives an email confirmation with the updated order details.
