Bankable Points Loyalty
Take your loyalty program to the next level with bankable points!
Allow customers to earn points with each dollar spent - you choose how many points per dollar and how you refer to “points” for customers (call them “stars” or “sheckles” or anything).
Assign points values to only the items you want to discount - Make the economics work for you instead of just offering a blanket 10% discount.
Customers can save up their points or start using them immediately- Studies show that customer engagement improves when you allow customers to get free stuff as quickly as possible, even if it’s only a free drink or a free side of fries! Alternatively, customers can save their points for big-ticket purchases - it’s up to them!
Customers can use points to pay for multiple items in their order - Direct Ordering is uniquely flexible.
Establish bonus periods - Customers can earn double or triple points (or whatever multiple you’d like to apply) on designated items to steer customers towards purchasing certain items.
Establish status tiers based on lifetime points earned - allow your most loyal customers to be recognized for their repeat purchase behavior.
Choose the look-back period for determining status tiers (1 year, two years, forever, etc.).
Allow customers to unlock monetary rewards and other prizes (hidden menu items, a special dinner for them and 5 of their friends, etc.) as they achieve certain tiers - you define the benefits!
Traditional Spend-based Loyalty
Direct Ordering also offers the ability to run traditional spend-based programs to keep things simple or maintain a legacy program. Reward customers with credit as they cross the spending threshold as per your business model. For example, “Spend $50, get a $5 reward”.
We have you covered if you want to switch to Direct Ordering but maintain the terms of your existing loyalty program. We can transfer existing customer credit balances so they don’t lose out on any credit they’ve earned.
Run separate programs for different order types - it doesn’t have to be one size fits all. Set different thresholds and status tiers for catering orders. For example, use a points program for regular orders and a spend-based program for catering orders - it’s up to you.
Bonus periods and status tiers can be used with spend-based programs as well. Allow your customers to earn “double spend” during certain times and allow them to unlock benefits as they achieve new status tiers based on lifetime spend (look back period is typically 365 days, but it’s up to you).
Punchcard Loyalty
Based on # of Visits/Orders
Example: Visit 5 times, get a free meal ($15 value)
Based on # of Items (not yet available)
Example: Purchase 9 coffees, get the 10th free.
NOTE: This type of punchcard is not yet available in OT (as of March 2024).
Features Supported Across Loyalty Programs
Status Tiers
Keep your customers engaged by prominently displaying their current progress and credit balance front and center on their account page and throughout the ordering experience, motivating them to spend more and reach the next tier. Establish loyalty thresholds that trigger certain rewards and other benefits for your customers.
Tiers can be based on either points or spending accumulated over a certain period that you define. For example, The customer reaches the 1st tier if they accumulate 500 points over the last 365 days, the 2nd tier if they accumulate 1,000 points over the last 365 days, and so on.
Various ways to reward your customers when a status tier is achieved:
Automated Rewards: rewards can be added to customer accounts automatically and blasted out via email, SMS, and push notifications for visibility.
Specialized Benefits: establish specialized benefits, such as a free dinner for the customer and 9 of their friends.
Hidden Menu Items: unlock hidden menu items available only to customers who achieve a particular tier.
Bonus Periods
Reward customers with extra points to drive traffic at certain times of the day or for certain types of orders. Increase sales during slower periods and steer customers towards more profitable order types.
For example:
Earn double points from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm daily.
Earn triple points during lunch on Mondays.
You have complete control of the terms (double, triple, etc.) and the duration of the bonus period.
