What are Location Tags
Location tags are designed to enhance the management and administration of multiple locations. They allow grouping locations and brands based on various criteria, such as city, region, type, or specific attributes. This feature is handy for quickly filtering locations under a common tag.
Types of Location Tags
There are two main types of location tags:
Default Location Tags: Tags are automatically added to your locations based on geographical location and POS System.
Note: We will keep introducing additional, helpful default tags as we progress.
Custom Location Tags: These tags are user-specific and created by the user. By default, a tag created by one user is not visible to others. To make a tag visible to others, it must be set up as a shared location tag.
Accessing the Location Tags
Location tags can be accessed on the “Locations” page by clicking the “Tag” icon.
“Location Tags” can be viewed from anywhere via the navigation sidebar.

Shared Location Tags
Admin Users can create Shared Location Tags. This function allows specified Location Tags to be accessible to all users associated with those locations.
Creating a Shared Location Tag:
To share a Location Tag, activate the toggle labeled “Share location tag with users who have access to these locations.” This action grants visibility of the tag to all authorized users.
You can also enable this setting for a custom tag at any time by editing an existing Location Tag.
The “Shared Location Tags” will be visible as depicted in the screenshot provided below:
Permission Details:
Creating shared location tags is reserved for users with “Admin” roles by default.
To extend this capability to other users, go to the “Manage User Access” page to update the user settings and select the “Create Shared Tags” checkbox.

You can group the Location Tags into “Tag Collections” to efficiently organize and manage your location tags. Learn more about the Tags Collection here.
