What are Tag Collections

Tag Collections provides a streamlined method to efficiently organize and manage your location tags, allowing you to categorize multiple Location Tags into broader groups based on specific criteria such as country, state, or custom-defined attributes.

Examples of TagCollections in Action:

• As a restaurant manager, you can create Tag Collections to group Location Tags with common attributes, like being in the same country or region. This makes it easier to manage and view specific sets of Location Tags.

• As a staff member, you'll be able to search for Tag Collections by name or criteria (e.g., "North American Locations," "Online Ordering Regions"), enabling quick access to relevant groups of Location Tags.

Accessing Tag Collections

To access Tag Collections, navigate to the “Locations” page and select the “Tag” icon.

The navigation sidebar lets you view “Tag Collections” from any location.

A “Manage Location Tags and Collections” popup will appear upon clicking. Access the “Collections” tab to see the collections that are available to you.

Predefined and Custom Tag Collections

• Checkmate provides predefined Tag Collections based on common grouping criteria, such as country, state/province, and POS system. These collections are automatically generated from your assigned Location Tags. Note that these collections are fixed and cannot be altered.

• Additionally, you can create custom collections marked as “custom” for easy identification.

Managing Tag Collections

Learn how to manage collections below:

• Create Tag Collections: Create a new Tag Collection by adding its name and assigning Location Tags.

• View Tag Collections: Click on a Tag Collection's name to view its details and the Location Tags it includes.

• Copy Collection: Duplicate an existing Tag Collection, creating a new one prefixed with "Copy of" and the original name. You can modify the name and adjust the tags in the collection before saving.

• Edit Collection: Change a Tag Collection's name and the tags it contains.

• Delete Collection: Permanently remove a Tag Collection after confirmation.

• Search Collections: Find a Tag Collection by its name.
