What Rewards Are

Rewards are incentives granted within a loyalty program to recognize and engage customers. They can be earned through activities such as making purchases or interacting with the brand, and redeemed for benefits like discounts, free items, or exclusive offers.

Creating a Reward

Follow the steps below to create a reward within a loyalty program:

When creating a reward, the following details are configured:

• Name: the name of the reward.
• Discount Type: the type of discount.
  • Percentage: the discount is a percentage of the total order.
  • Dollar Amount: the discount is a fixed dollar amount off the total order.
• Minimum Discount Amount: the lowest discount amount that can be applied when the reward is redeemed, set in dollars (enter 0.00 for no minimum).
• Maximum Discount Amount: the cap on the highest discount amount that can be applied per order, set in dollars (enter 0.00 for no maximum).
• Minimum Order Size: the minimum order value in dollars required to use the reward (enter 0.00 for no minimum).
• Maximum Order Size: the maximum order value in dollars beyond which the reward cannot be applied (enter 0.00 for no maximum).
• Points Shop Cost: the number of points required to redeem the reward, to two decimal places (leave blank if not applicable).
• Order Type: the order types the reward applies to.
  • All: any order type.
  • OLO: online ordering orders.
  • Catering: catering orders.
  • Merch: merchandise purchases.
• Service Type: the applicable service types.
  • All: all service types.
  • Dine-In: dine-in service.
  • Pick-Up: pick-up orders.
  • Delivery: delivery orders.
• Channel Type: the applicable sales channels.
  • All: all channels.
  • Kiosk: kiosk stations.
  • Online: online transactions.
  • App: a mobile app.
  • Phone: phone orders.
• Days Valid: optional; the number of days the discount remains valid from the start date.
• Start Date and End Date: the calendar period during which the reward is valid.
• Start Time and End Time: the daily time range during which the reward can be redeemed, such as 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Title: a concise title for the reward (up to 256 characters).
• Short Description: a brief description of the reward (up to 256 characters).
• Description: a detailed description of the reward (up to 1024 characters).
• Total Rewards per Order: the maximum number of times the reward can be used per order.
• Active: select to make the reward active immediately upon creation.
• Taxed: indicates whether the reward is subject to sales tax.
• Reusable: indicates whether the reward can be used multiple times by the same customer.
• Before Surcharge: select to apply the discount before calculating any surcharges on the order.
