What's the difference between a Name and an Internal name?

Each menu category, menu item, modifier group, and modifier can have a distinct Name and an Internal Name. 

• Name

  • Initially, both are imported from Checkmate to match. However, you have the flexibility to edit the Name freely, as it is a customer-facing label that does not affect your menu mapping in any way.

• Internal Name

  • The Internal Name, however, is utilized exclusively for backend purposes relating to Checkmate's menu mapping and is read-only in your Direct Ordering Admin Panel. 

The screenshot below shows that the customer-facing Name is editable, whereas the Internal Name is read-only.
