Each menu category, menu item, modifier group, and modifier can have a distinct Name and Internal Name. Both are initially imported from Checkmate so that they match.

Name

The Name is the customer-facing label. It can be edited freely and does not affect menu mapping in any way. The Name can match the Internal Name, or it can be changed so that a different name is shown to guests.

Internal Name

The Internal Name is used only for backend purposes related to Checkmate's menu mapping. It is read-only in the Direct Ordering Admin Panel and cannot be edited.
