All menus in Direct Ordering are synced directly with Checkmate. Menu management occurs through two methods.
Menu Sync Methods
-
Direct Sync with Checkmate
- For restaurants using direct sync, menu changes are made in the Point of Sale (POS) system. Checkmate retrieves the menu data from the POS system and transfers it to Direct Ordering.
- Menu updates made in the POS system are reflected in Direct Ordering automatically.
-
Non-Direct Sync (Legacy) with Checkmate
- When a restaurant is not directly synced, menu adjustments are made in both the POS system and the Checkmate Portal. Changes made in the Checkmate Portal are then pushed to Direct Ordering.
- The Checkmate Portal serves as an intermediary, transferring menu modifications to Direct Ordering alongside other third-party platforms.
For detailed information on menu management in the Checkmate Portal, see Checkmate Portal - Store Menu Management.
Regardless of the integration method, any changes to the menu imported to Checkmate are transmitted to Direct Ordering in real time, mirroring the approach used for third-party platforms.
