If your brand uses the Direct Ordering platform for catering workflows, you can confirm and manage orders directly within the Admin Portal using the Order Management page. This page allows you to review, update, and take action on catering orders.
Access the Order Management Page
You can navigate to the Orders Management page by following the steps below:
Review the Order
When a new catering order appears:
Click Mark Reviewed to acknowledge the order.
This is only a visual acknowledgment.
It does not trigger any backend action or release the order to the POS.
Once reviewed, the order expands to show action buttons such as Edit, Cancel, Resend, and Prep Status.
When Is the Order Sent to the POS?
If the initial receipt status at the revenue center is set to Open, the order is automatically sent to the POS based on the integration settings.
No manual confirmation step is required.
You can set the initial status of the order in revenue center settings
You can check if the order was successfully sent to the POS by reviewing the Order Review page, which shows successful integration status.
Available Actions
Once the Order is Reviewed the following options are available:
Edit: Update details like items, quantities, or scheduled times (depending on configuration).
Cancel: Cancel the order.
A confirmation popup will appear.
Click Cancel Order to permanently cancel the order, or Nevermind to go back.
Note: This action is permanent. Cancelled orders cannot be recovered.
Prep Status: Click Prep Status to update the preparation stage of the order.You’ll see the following status options:
To Do – Not yet started
In Progress – Cooking has begun
Done – Prep is finished
Completed – Reviewed by expo
Fulfilled – Delivered to the guest
Select a new status or click Nevermind to leave the current status unchanged.
Note: Updating prep status does not affect the order lifecycle, but the guest does receive an email with the status update. There is no log or tracking page for these updates—this is primarily for internal visibility
Print: Click Print to download a physical or digital copy of the full order.
Resend: Click Resend to email the order confirmation again to the customer.
