Selecting a Delivery Method for Catering Orders – Checkmate

When accepting a catering order in the Direct Ordering Admin Panel, the order can be delivered in one of two ways: by the restaurant's own team (Self-Delivery) or by a third-party delivery partner such as Uber Direct. The delivery method is selected on the order details page before the order is confirmed.

Note: The Delivery Method field is available only when the location has a third-party delivery integration configured. If no integration is set up, delivery defaults to Self-Delivery.

Selecting a Delivery Method When Accepting a Catering Order

The walkthrough below covers each step of selecting the delivery method while accepting a catering order.

Note: The delivery method selected at order acceptance overrides the default method configured at the location or revenue center for that order. After the delivery method is updated, allow about a minute for the change to appear on the order details page.

Configuring the Default Delivery Method

The default delivery method is set in the Direct Ordering Admin Panel at the location or revenue center level. The default value pre-fills the Delivery Method field each time a new catering order is received, and it can always be overridden when the order is accepted.
