Direct Ordering collaborates with the NMI payment gateway (formerly known as Network Merchants), enabling connectivity with various payment processors. The following payment processors, known for supporting the key features sought by most clients, are available options:
As part of the onboarding process, you will be required to complete a questionnaire outlining your payment processing preferences. The Direct Ordering team will utilize this information to offer recommendations based on best practices.
You have the flexibility to continue using your existing payment processor across different channels or opt for a different preferred one, provided that NMI can support it. It's important to note that while a POS company can serve as a payment processor by integrating payment processing into its POS system, Direct Ordering cannot support POS companies acting as merchant processors.
There are three levels at which payment processing credentials can be configured, with the first two being mandatory:
Brand level
Store level
Revenue center level
Restaurants have the option to establish revenue center-level merchant credentials.
Setting up separate merchant processors at the revenue center level offers advantages such as efficient reporting and analytics, risk mitigation, and scalability.
When all revenue centers use the same payment processor, it becomes easier to integrate payment data with other systems such as inventory management, accounting, and customer relationship management (CRM) software; streamlines operations with consistent reporting.
The selection of a merchant processor ultimately rests with the restaurant operator, provided that Direct Ordering can support the chosen processor. Our team is committed to working on the optimal solution for your needs, ensuring seamless integration and support.
