The order ahead days setting controls how many days in advance customers can place an order for a future date in Direct Ordering. It defines how far into the future the ordering window extends at checkout, which lets a restaurant accept advance orders while limiting how far ahead an order can be scheduled.
How Order Ahead Days Works
When order ahead days is set to a specific number, customers can choose a fulfillment date from the current day up to that many days into the future. A larger value opens a wider future-ordering window, and a smaller value keeps orders closer to the current date. Setting an appropriate value helps the kitchen plan for upcoming orders without accepting orders so far in advance that they are difficult to fulfill reliably.
