This guide explains how guests can use Direct Ordering (DO) Digital Gift Cards when ordering in-store, over the phone, or at the drive-thru.
DO Digital Gift Cards can be used at your location as long as your brand is set up with:
- DO Online Ordering (App or Web)
- DO Digital Gift Cards
- Toast POS with the DO Digital Gift Card integration enabled
How Guests Use Their Digital Gift Cards
In-Store Orders
At Checkout:
- Guest opens the DO Brand App or DO Brand Website on their phone and logs into their account.
- Guest navigates to: Menu → Gift Cards
- Guest shows you one of the following:
- A QR Code to scan, or
- The Gift Card number
- On the Toast POS:
- Tap the Gift Card button.
- Either scan the QR code using the scanner or manually enter the gift card number.
- The gift card balance will be applied to the total.
Phone Orders / Drive-Thru Orders
During Checkout:
- Guest opens the DO Brand App or DO Brand Website and logs into their account.
- Guest navigates to: Menu → Gift Cards
- Guest reads the gift card number to you over the phone or at the drive-thru window.
- On the Toast POS:
- Tap the Gift Card button.
- Manually enter the gift card number.
- The gift card balance will be applied to the total.
Additional Information
- Only DO Digital Gift Cards can be used with this process. Physical gift cards or other gift card systems are not supported.
- The guest must log in to their account to access their gift card information.
- If scanning fails, you can always manually enter the gift card number.
- Gift card balances can be used for full or partial payment.
