Direct Ordering supports both Apple Pay and Google Pay on Direct Ordering websites and mobile apps. Most of the development work is handled by Direct Ordering, though some setup is still required because of how Apple Pay and Google Pay work. The steps for each are below.
Apple Pay
Create a developer account on the Apple Developer site, which requires a fee of $99 per year. After the account is created, contact the Direct Ordering representative for the details of the Direct Ordering team members who need to be invited to the account. Direct Ordering handles the technical setup once it has access to the Apple Developer account. The minimum required app version is iOS 14.0.
Google Pay
Set up a merchant account in the Google Pay and Wallet Console, starting with a Business Profile, which prompts for the creation of a payments profile. Google provides help links throughout the interface. Once the Business Profile is established, contact the Direct Ordering representative for the details of the Direct Ordering team members who need to be invited to the account. Direct Ordering handles the technical setup once it has access to the Google Pay account. The minimum supported app version is Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).
