Checkmate utilizes the Ingenico Lane 3000 as the payment terminal in the Kiosk. Our solution connects to the system by an ethernet cable. You can view more details about the terminal here.

Troubleshooting
Restarting the Terminal
You can restart your terminal using either of the following methods:
Soft Reboot: Access the Admin Menu and select the Restart Terminal option.
Hard Reboot: Press and hold the .,#* key, and < (yellow key) simultaneously until the device powers off.
Mounting the payment device on the kiosk
The terminal is designed to be fitted on a special Ingenico adaptor that matches an area on the back of the payment device shown in the picture below:
To fit the Lane/3000 kiosk pole adaptor, it only requires to slide down until you hear a click sound:
Once it is clicked in place the push lock security lock needs to be locked. To do this use the provided key insert the key and turn a quarter turn until the key is straight up and down, then remove the key.

Removing the Lane 3000 from the kiosk
You can follow the below steps to remove the payment terminal from the Kiosk:
Step 1: Unlock the lock on the back of the mounting bracket behind the payment device
Step 2: Lift up slightly on the clip then pull lightly on the device to remove it from the mount
Step 3: Remove the two small screws (arrows on the picture below) from the cable and lift the latch on the cable end (circled area).
Lane 3000 not reading cards
If your device isn't reading a chip card, make sure:
The chip is clean and is not damaged
The chip is facing up
The cardholder fully inserts the card into your device
If your device isn't reading a magstripe card, make sure:
The magnetic stripe is clean and is not damaged
The cardholder is swiping the card correctly
Troubleshooting Tips
Device Network Information
You can follow the below steps to obtain the device network information
Step 1: Enter in 0001 into the keypad to get into the admin menu
Step 2: Hit number 2 - Ethernet Parameters
Step 3: Hit number 1 - IP configuration
Step 4: From this menu, you can access your IP Address, MAC Address, and other network-related information by scrolling using the down/up keys.
Step 4: When finished hit the “Yellow <“ until you are back on the idle message.
Cleaning the Terminal
When cleaning the terminal, please ensure to follow the below points:
Do NOT clean the electrical connections.
Do NOT use solvents, detergents, or abrasive products in any situation; those materials might damage the plastic or electrical contacts.
Avoid exposing the terminal to the direct rays of the sun.
Do NOT put anything into the slot of the smart card reader
