Overview
Checkmate uses the Epson TMT88vii model, which is connected via a network cable. It is mounted inside the kiosk pedestal behind a locked door to prevent tampering. The printer uses standard 80mm thermal paper for receipts and does not require a ribbon since it operates as a thermal printer.
More details regarding the printer's specifications are available here.

Adjusting the near end roll paper sensor
Connecting the AC Power Adapter
Self Test Mode
The printer has a way to perform a self-test that only requires power and paper.
Printing a Status Sheet
Sometimes it can be useful to print a status sheet for the printer, which is also necessary to obtain the MAC address required for setting up the printer in the Checkmate Direct Ordering Admin console. You can follow the steps below to print a status sheet:
Step 1: Shut off the printer by hitting the power switch
Step 2: Push and hold the feed button while turning the power switch back on.
Step 3: After a few seconds, the Status Sheet will depense. The MAC Address will be located 1/4 way down the sheet.
Note - After the Status Page has been printed, you MUST power cycle the printer to get it back into receipt mode. Once you power cycle the printer will print the Network Configuration sheet stating the IP Address.

Removing Jammed Paper
If the roll paper cover does not open
If a foreign substance enters the auto-cutter or the roll paper jams, the auto-cutter blade may become unable to return to the correct position and lock in place. In this scenario, the roll paper cover may not open even if you pull the cover open lever. Follow the steps below to restore the auto-cutter blade to its normal position.
