Brink POS - Order Submission Failure Error is usually encountered when online orders fail to integrate with the POS system because the modifier groups listed in the POS system have a defined minimum requirement limit.
Note: Checkmate’s system does not support nested modifiers for Brink POS. This article is meant for locations with Legacy integration.
How will I be informed about the Brink POS - Order Submission Failure Error?
As soon as the order errors, Checkmate Support will immediately notify you via email about the error.
The internal error reference will appear similar to this: {"error": "Order failed to submit to Brink with error: 1 more item needed for Sides - Plate 2/3 group."}
How to troubleshoot the Brink POS - Order Submission Failure Error?
Follow the given steps to troubleshoot the Brink POS - Order Submission Failure Error:
Step 1: Go to Brink POS. Enter the user’s email address and password >Sign In
Step 2: Select the Configuration button from the navigation panel available on the left-hand side of the dashboard. A drop-down list indicated below will appear on the screen.
Step 3: Select the Settings Editor button (indicated above) from the drop-down list to direct you to a new screen shown below. Then, select the Modifier Groups button from the navigation bar.
Note: You can filter out the Modifier Groups button using the search box available in the navigation panel.
Step 4: Select the desired Modifier Group for which the minimum required limit needs to be set as zero. Then, enter the minimum required limit of that Modifier Group as 0 in the Edit Modifier Group dialog box ( shown below) and select the OK button.
Note: If the minimum required value for a modifier group is already set in the POS system, ensure that the minimum/maximum requirements are the same on the online ordering platform menus to avoid errors.
Step 5: Select the Publish button after incorporating all the desired changes to reflect them online.
Note: Once you have made the desired changes related to Modifier Groups' min/max required limit, please contact Checkmate Support to confirm that updates have been made.
