Base Menu - FAQs

The Base Menu is a crucial component of the Checkmate system. Our team uses the menu to construct your menu in our system manually. This constructed menu then serves as the foundation for all of your integrated ordering platforms (OP).

During onboarding, you'll be asked to select one of your OP menus to serve as the Base Menu. Our menu mappers will use this as a reference when building menus for all your OPs. This Base Menu will be mapped to your Point of Sale (POS) menu and will be utilized across all your ordering platforms.

We recommend selecting a menu that includes all or most of your items. A GrubHub or UberEats menu is often a good choice.

You'll be prompted to select the Base Menu during the initial setup of your OPs in the "Ordering Platform Set Up" step.

While we're always here to assist, we do not directly build your Base Menu. However, we provide all the necessary tools and guidance to help you set it up effectively.

Yes, you can use your POS menu as your Base Menu if you're using one of the following directly integrated POS systems:

• Brink POS
• SpotOn POS
• Revel POS
• Clover POS
• Square POS
• Upserve POS
• Toast POS
