Please review and complete the checklist below to prepare your Clover Point-of-Sale for syncing with your Ordering Platforms.

Menu & Menu Settings

Items

Enable Items to be Visible Online

All Items to be included in the ordering platform menu(s) must be enabled by doing the following:

• Check the Show online box > Click on Save

• You can also Bulk select Show online for multiple items by going to Items and checking the box on POS for all items you wish to make visible.

Set Online name for Items/Modifier Groups/Modifiers

• If you wish to assign a different name to your menu items other than the POS name, go to the Item > Online ordering section > Online name > Set Online name > Click Save

• Follow the same instructions for Modifier Groups and Modifiers under the Modifier Groups section

Note: If you wish for a Modifier Group to be visible online, you MUST define the Online Name field for those modifier groups

Add Item Descriptions/Images on the POS

• Go to Inventory > Items > Select the Item you wish to edit > Go to the Online ordering section

• Click on Image field > Upload File

• Click on Description field > Enter Description > Click Save

Reconcile Menu Items to have Unique Names

Review the menu for items with the same name but different item IDs – Unique menu items must have unique names.

Tag All Menu Items (For customers selling Alcohol online)

Do you sell alcohol? If so, the following tags must be used for tagging ALL items in your menu:

• Go to Inventory > Select Printer Labels > Click on Add Labels > Enter the name under Label name* field > Click on Done

• Select the Label to tag Items > Click on + ADD

• Choose Items to tag under the Labels > Click on Save

Note: This must be done for ALL items offered on your online ordering menu if you serve alcohol online.

Modifiers

Reconcile Modifier names to have Unique Names

If you must include same-name modifiers within a shared modifier group, differentiate between same-name modifiers by adding a punctuation mark or number in front of or after the modifier name

For Example, Two modifiers with the name “Steak”

• Modifier 1: Steak

• Modifier 2: Steak. Or 2. Steak

Remove all Nested Modifiers (modifiers with modifier groups)

General Settings in Clover Back End

• Set Dining Options (You can opt for unique or shared dining options for your ordering platforms )

• Set Payment Options (each ordering platform MUST have a unique payment option set for it)

POS Terminal Settings

• Install the Checkmate App on one of your Clover terminals from the App Market (More Tools)

Complete these steps as soon as possible to proceed with the integration process.
