ezCater catering orders flow into the Checkmate portal alongside every other order, where each order can be opened and reviewed in one place. Accepting and rejecting ezCater orders is handled in the ezCater portal. The Auto Accept feature reduces this manual work: once it is enabled, ezCater orders below a set dollar amount are accepted automatically, without manual review. For locations that handle a steady volume of catering orders, this keeps smaller orders moving quickly and reduces the chance of an order being accepted late or missed.
Viewing ezCater Orders
Every ezCater order placed for a location appears on the Orders page in the Checkmate portal, where its details can be reviewed before fulfillment. For a full overview of the Orders page, see the Order Management article here.
Navigate to the Orders page: Open the Orders page in the Checkmate portal.
Locate the ezCater order: Find the ezCater order in the list. A “C” marks catering orders, making them easy to identify.
Open the order: Select the order to view its details, including the date the order was placed, the due date, the items ordered, and the total amount.
Note: ezCater orders are viewed in the Checkmate portal, but they are accepted or rejected in the ezCater portal.
How Auto Accept Works
Auto Accept automatically accepts incoming ezCater orders that fall below a set dollar amount, so routine orders are confirmed without manual review. Orders above that amount are not auto-accepted and still need to be accepted manually in the ezCater portal. Choosing a threshold that reflects a location’s typical order sizes keeps everyday orders moving while larger orders still receive a manual review.
Enabling Auto Accept
Auto Accept works only when it is enabled in both the ezCater portal and the Checkmate portal, in that order.
Enable Auto Accept in the ezCater portal: The brand turns on Auto Accept in the ezCater portal and sets the dollar amount threshold there. For step-by-step instructions, see the ezCater guide here.
Enable Auto Accept in the Checkmate portal: Once Auto Accept is active in the ezCater portal, the Checkmate customer service team enables it in the Checkmate portal. To request this, contact Checkmate support.
Note: Auto Accept must be enabled in the ezCater portal first. Until it is active there, Checkmate cannot auto-accept ezCater orders.
