Direct Ordering integrates with Google Analytics, offering a detailed view of the online ordering journey. Using the Enhanced E-commerce module of Google Analytics, the following are possible:
- Analyze the customer funnel: understand the entire customer journey, from browsing the menu to finalizing an order.
- Track conversion rates: monitor the percentage of visitors who successfully place an order.
- Identify drop-off points: pinpoint specific stages in the ordering process where potential customers might abandon their carts.
Setup Guide
- Create a Google Analytics account: if no account exists, sign up here. Once signed up, create a new property for the Direct Ordering website.
- Get the Tracking ID: navigate to the Admin section in Google Analytics. Under the property column, click Tracking Info, then Tracking Code. The Tracking ID looks like "UA-XXXXXXXXX-X".
- Integrate Direct Ordering with Google Analytics by following the on-screen instructions.
- Verify the integration.
- Leverage Enhanced E-commerce: in Google Analytics, navigate to Admin. In the View column, go to Ecommerce Settings and enable Ecommerce and Enhanced Ecommerce Reporting. Save changes.
